God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. Psalm 46:1
It is inevitable that we are going to come face to face with trouble. The good news is we never have to face it alone because God is always with us ready to help. My question is, do you run from trouble or do you stare it in the face? When you run from trouble or pretend it doesn't exist that doesn't eliminate anything does it? However when you face it head on God is with you to help you.
Many times in my life I have felt depressed, troubled, unseen, and deserted by God. I have even felt lonely while being around a group of people. In the past I had a problem with my anger and that brought trouble into other's lives as well. Maybe you are facing some kind of trouble right now and your not sure how to deal with it. Perhaps it is one thing after another which seems to be piling up and making everything worse.
In the Bible we can read about all the different people and the trouble they faced. Definitely too much for me to write about! I will tell you that if you read about David he experienced depression, he was troubled. felt unseen, and abandoned by God. As we look to the book of Psalms we see that David often cried out to the Lord.
Turn to me and have mercy, for I am alone and in deep distress. My problems go from bad to worse. Oh save me from them all! Feel my pain and see my trouble. (Psalms 25:16-18a) God promises to always be there for us and He never breaks a promise. So if you are facing some kind of trouble today remember God is always with you and ready to help you. He will shelter you in the time of need and He is our strength when we are weak. When we face trouble we need to remember that God is so much bigger than the trouble we face. He always sees us through!
