The Right Hand of God

Your right hand, O Lord, is glorious in power. Your right hand, O Lord, smashes the enemy. Exodus 15:6

The Israelites were saved by the mighty hand of God. When Moses was obedient and raised his hand over the sea, the Lord opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind. Once they reached the other side the Lord said to Moses, "Raise your hand over the sea again. Then the waters will rush back and cover the Egyptians and their chariots and charioteers." Again Moses was obedient and raised his hand over the sea, and the water rushed back into its usual place. The Egyptians tried to escape, but the Lord swept them into the sea. Exodus 15:12 says, "You raised your right hand, and the earth swallowed our enemies."

Sometimes I feel like I am being chased by the enemy. When I think this will be the day I finally quit crying over the loss of a loved one, the devil tries to make me feel guilty for not spending more time with her to say a proper good-bye. Financially when I think we are going to catch up or get ahead, it doesn't last but a moment. The devil tells me lies and says there is no way you can pay that bill that is a cut off notice. I love Bible study and it seems like when we are getting fired up something always happens. That devil comes in and causes something to keep us separated. I know things happen, but good grief I wonder why now.

I believe that I am getting closer to God and don't worry like I have in the past. Any one of these things would have set upset me and I would have stewed on it all day. When we are feeling tired and weary or stressed out for any number of reasons the devil knows it. This is when he takes advantage of the situation and attacks us when we are down. The enemy knew God was fighting for the Israelites. So if your in a battle of some sort the enemy already knows God is fighting for you and he will be defeated. Your right hand smashes the enemy! Your strong right hand is filled with victory (Psalm 48:10).

God, when I feel weak and defeated I know I can look to you for strength. When I am feeling down and emotionally drained I know you will give me joy and peace. If I am feeling needy I run to you for help. If I ever feel like I am falling I know you are there to catch me. I can rest in knowing there is nothing I go through that you don't already know about. You are a good Father and always take care of me. As God holds on to us we must hold on to him. I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely (Psalm 63:8).

I didn't plan on writing this today even though I have had notes on the subject for months.

I am supposed to be writing a Bible study. God gave some really good notes yesterday, but today He had something else in mind. I knew after praying and being in the Presence of God He had some work for me today. Especially after telling God I wanted show Him how much I loved Him. We do this by being faithful, loyal, and obedient. Normally when God would ask me to do something I would do it at my convenience. (Just keeping it real). Being obedient means I need to do what He wants; when He tells me to do something. Like Moses and so many others. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11 (NKJV) Hmmm this just might become my life verse.

My friends I will close with this. God has His hand over your life. When you stop to think about all that He has done for you; thank Him for reaching out to you with His right hand that is glorious in Power.

Let's Get Salty

Salt is good for seasoning. But if it loses its flavor, how do you make it salty again? You must have the qualities of salt among yourselves and live in peace with each other. Mark 10:50 Salt is used

Rejoice In the Word

I rejoice in your word like one who discovers a great treasure. Psalm 119:162 This morning I read that we should rejoice while suffering in all kinds of trials. Honestly at that point all I could say

Fixing Our Eyes On Jesus

So we don't look at the troubles we can see now; rather we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.- 2 C
