The Gift of Salvation

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Ephesians 2:8-9

When I think about who Jesus is the first thing that comes to mind is salvation. The best gift in the world and it's free. It came at a great cost though and Jesus paid the ultimate price for us with His life. There is no greater love than this! To lay down a life for another and by doing this we all gain so much from it.

It is by His grace and mercy that Jesus who was a man without sin took the place of us sinners. (2 Corinthians 5:21) You only need to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. (Acts 16:31) Those who listen to my word and believe in God who sent me will have eternal life. (John 5:24) If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. Romans 10:9-10

This is a free gift and there aren't any amount of good deeds we can do to earn this. This is the message we need to pass on because many people think that they get into heaven by their works. Let's help them to ease their minds in knowing the truth.
