1. For he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye. Zechariah 2:8b
We are the apple of Gods' eye and He never takes His eyes off of us. God sees us as His beloved children and we are precious in His sight. This confirms that we are His prized possession, highly valued, and worth more than any treasure here on earth.
God proves this by the way He takes care of us. He holds us dear to His heart and His love for us endures forever! Showing us how much He cherishes us; treating us with tenderness and affection, giving us His warmth with ease and comforts us.
If you didn't know before now you know for certain that you are the apple of His eye. I hope you see yourself as God sees you. This took me awhile to believe myself and I wish someone would of told me this sooner. This is why I want to pass on what I have learned through scripture. God loves you more than anyone else ever could! 2) 2. He found him in a desert land And in the wasteland, a howling wilderness; He encircled him, He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of His eye. Deuteronomy 32:10
God kept Moses as the apple of His eye when he was wondering around in the desert. I have been thinking about the years I spent wandering in the desert myself and most of us have been there at some point in our lives. If this is where you find yourself now I want you to know that one day you will be able to look back and believe that God kept you as the apple of His eye.
3. Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings. Psalm 17:8
By reading the word "keep" tells us that David knew he was the apple of Gods' eye, but was now praying for God to keep him in his sight. During this time David was praying for protection from his enemies. David knew when he prayed God would answer him. (vs.6) He knew that God would show His marvelous lovingkindness and (shelter) save those who trust God. (vs.7)
When we face battles in life we often wonder where God is and if He even notices us. I assure that He does because the Word tells us so. The verse above (vs.8) is one we can pray for God to protect us and hide us under the shadow of His wing. He will protect us from our enemy (the devil) and all of his lies. When facing any kind of battle even though we know God watches over us we want the reassurance that He doesn't lose sight of us.
I hope you remember this: God always sees you as the apple of His eye now, before, and all the days to come.
