Always be joyful, Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
There are many mornings we wake up and think about all of the tasks that lie ahead and at times this can be overwhelming. Some days you might want to pull the covers over your head and stay in bed. This morning I just felt blah and pulled the cover over my head and then came across this verse later on. We have a choice to make each morning! Are we going to be joyful? Or are we going to worry about what lies ahead?
This is a daily choice and today I choose joy. I already prayed for someone else and shoved my own needs aside. I am going to continue with my day and stay connected with my Father.
No matter what we need to be doing even if it seems overwhelming at times I am thankful that I have the capability to do them. I have learned it all about the quality of time we spend with God and not the quantity of time. We need to seek God with all of our heart and be thankful for the joy He gives us through all of our circumstances. Since we know God is always with us we should pray always knowing this is His will for us.
As we pray throughout our day He changes our thoughts and feelings because we change our focus from worrying about what we think needs to be done and focus on Him. I have prayed during the middle of writing this blog and I have to say I already feel better and I am ready to get things done. So off I go with the joy in my heart to face another busy day.
I recommend you listen to "I Choose Joy" by For King and Country. This is one of my favorite pick me up songs and I hope you enjoy it. You can find it here on my blog site by scrolling down to Spotify. Have a joyful day filled with thankfulness and stay connected through prayer.
