Before I share this prayer with you I don't know if you are aware of this, but there are hundreds of prayers in the Bible. As I read this prayer this morning it took me back to when I first started my relationship with God. Spiritually I was a mess to say the least! When a special woman of God sat me down and gave me my first Bible (actually my second Bible I had one of those picture Bibles my mom gave me) she wanted to make sure I understood what I was reading. It is a NLT version that I still use to this day and more than likely always will. The Lord's prayer is the first prayer that I learned, but this is the first prayer that I fell in love with because God wanted me to know I needed this so desperately in my life. I just wanted you to know why this prayer is so close to my heart.
I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand,, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:16-21
I believe this prayer is a huge part of how I became the person I am today! Yes, it is the power of prayer.
Love this one! It reminds me of my daily devotion on the Bible app today. It was about Bach the composer who dedicated everything he did to the Lord. He didn’t become famous until after he was gone. But it didn’t stop him from doing what he was called to do with zeal because he did all for God and God alone. At the end of everything he composes he wrote something like Glory be to God alone. Imagine doing what we are called to do with zeal even if we were never recognized.
when you say this prayer👇🏽 Is a huge part of who you have become, I believe it!!!
Now all glory to God, who is…
