And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow - not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below - indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
Have you ever felt separated from God's love? I am sure we have all felt like this at some point in our life, especially if we have suffered some type of tragic event. The fact of the matter is we will all face some type of suffering. The hard truth is we always will. We must share in His suffering if we are to share in His Glory (Romans 8 :17). It is often during these times we feel separated from God wondering if He really loves us through it all. Just because we feel like God doesn't love us doesn't make it true. God's love is always active in our lives, unconditional, unfailing, and never ending love.
If God is for us, who can be against us? Absolutely nothing or no one! God prearranged this before the beginning of time. He knows each of us individually and has made a promise to never leave nor forsake us. God loves us in our worst conditions, as we are, and who we will become. When we know that God is for us it shouldn't matter how we feel. We don't live by our feelings. We live by knowing that God has wrapped us up in love and will always hold us tightly next to His heart. The bond between a parent and a child can never be broken. So why would you think that Our Father in heaven would be any different?
Anytime I talk about love I believe strongly that it should lead us back to the cross. This is proof of God's love! He sent His Son to die for us and was resurrected so that our sins are forgiven and we can have eternal life. God has the strongest bond of love for us in all existence. There never has been or will ever be a real love like that of Our Father. He loves us infinitely; without end and nothing can separate us from His love.
