Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the military personnel who have died in the performance of their military duties.

Most people will be at the lake, having a cook out, uniting with their family, and other things of that nature. Others will attend a parade and many will be hitting the stores for those Memorial Day sales.

Whatever you may be doing today I hope you will take a brief moment of silence at 3:00 p.m. in honor of our fallen soldiers who died for this country to protect us. They gave their life for us so I think we can take a moment to honor them.

Let's pray for those who are left behind. The mother who has to raise the children on her own. The children who will grow up without a father. The parents who don't know how to cope with the loss of a child. This has an affect on so many different people and they all need your prayer and support.

Just keep in mind while you are celebrating many will be at a graveside mourning.
