Make a Joyful Noise
Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises. Psalm 98:4 (NKJV)
It is a beautiful spring day and there is much to be noticed. The trees are budding, the grass is green, and the flowers are rising up. New growth is what we see and with this growth everything is making a joyful noise.
The first thing we usually notice in the morning are the birds singing. What a beautiful sound to wake up to. When I hear them I am always reminded of this verse. This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24 (NKJV) The Robin is one of my favorite birds to listen to because it sound like it is laughing. The first time I noticed this I began laughing because laughter is contagious. What a beautiful way to start your morning.
The trees are clapping and this is something I got to witness last year. two small branches were gently touching each other and even though I heard no sound I knew they were clapping. The trees also produce their growth at different times representing the way we all grow at different paces.
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad. Let the sea roar, and all it's fulness. Let the field be joyful and all that is in it. Then all the trees of the woods will rejoice before the Lord. Psalms 96:11-12 Let the rivers clap their hands; Let the hills be joyful together before the Lord. Psalms 98:8
Let all the earth make a joyful noise unto the Lord and that includes us. Some of us might not like our singing, but out praises come from the heart and that is what God looks at. As we look at all the beauty that surrounds us that alone should cause us to be joyful. As you sing praises praises today I am sure God is leaning down to listen and smiles upon us.
