Influencing Others

And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching. Titus 2:7

Influence is the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of someone. We really get to know ourselves better when we are trying to influence others. This will cause us to become aware of the changes we need to make within ourselves. We don't just influence others with the words we speak, but our life style should line up with our words.

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." - Ephesians 2:10 (NIV) These are works done, not in our own strength and for our own benefit, but by the grace of God and in obedience to Him - led by the Holy Spirit, to God's glory. This includes being completely honest and having strong moral principles meaning we are concerned about right and wrong behavior and the goodness of human character in which we need to be constantly developing.
