Gods' Plan For Us

"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11

God has a special plan for each and everyone of us and it involves our gifts, talents, and passion for helping others. Learning what God wants us to do takes dedication involving our prayer life, learning to walk in His ways, and listening to His voice. If we follow His lead He will show us that our brightest days are ahead of us and we have hope in God to finish His work in us.

A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge. The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have. 1 Corinthians 12:7-11

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen. 1 Peter 4:10-11

Our God given talents are not something that we have learned, but always had the passion for; a certain skill that could only come from a higher power. God instilled within us these ideas of creativity that we desire to share with others. I am talking about those moments when you see something special in someone and say, "They have a natural born talent." That is because they do!

God has given us the ability to do something special and it should be used for His glory! If for some reason you don't know what your gifts are keep praying and asking for God to reveal them to you and He will. It will be something you are passionate about that God can use for not only your future, but for someone else's too. I hope by sharing my gift of writing with you today will encourage you to share your gifts with others. After all, this is Gods' plan for us.
