It is time to declutter all the things are useless in our lives. Many people have thrown out the stuff that clutters up a house and is no longer of use to them. This process actually makes a house look more like a home. After all, we don't need to wait until spring to do a little spring cleaning.
How about we take it a step further? Dig a little deeper and get rid of those thoughts that clutter our mind. We all have bad thoughts, but we also have the capability of renewing our minds. Rather than holding onto our bad thoughts and letting them pile up cluttering our mind let's change the way we think. The sooner we do this the better. I know that this is not as easy as it sounds, but if we stick with it in time we will be able to change thoughts quickly. Believe me this has taken me years to make progress in this area of my life.
There is also the matter of the heart. Is your heart in good condition? I am sure there is something deep down that you need to get rid of so you will have room for better. We tend to hide things deep down in our heart that others might not notice. Well, at least they won't notice at first. Eventually the clutter we have pushed down into our heart will be revealed by the words we speak and our actions. This is why we should ask God to create in me a clean heart.
Making room for the best God has to offer us is hard work, but it will be worth it in the end. I believe when we start getting rid of the old and making room for the new we will become the best version of ourselves. As always start small and before you know it you will see huge results.
Father God,
Please help us to declutter what is not of you so we can be filled with more of you. Help us to make room for all the new things you already have in store for us. In Jesus' Name I Pray, Amen
