He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 2 Corinthians 9:6 (NKJV)
You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure. "For God loves a person who gives cheerfully." (vs.7)
Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full-pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back. Luke 6:38
I want you to think about what you are sowing into the life of others. As you know, when we give we should always do it with love. Generosity is simply being unselfish. It is spreading kindness to other in need. Some people are blessed financially and are able to bless others with money and food. I know some of us will reach others by devoting our time. Whatever you are giving to others do it with all your heart.
As we are being generous we will reap what we sow. When we focus on the giving rather than the receiving it takes the focus away from ourselves. We become fully committed to helping others. I know sometimes we think when we give generously that person should return the same or more. This is not what our mind should be focused on. Our harvest comes from the Lord and He freely gives to us in a way we don't always expect. Sometimes He will bless us spiritually rather than physically (something we can see right away). Other times He will store up a treasure in Heaven that will not rust or decay. Can you imagine all the things He has stored up for us?
Think about the ways you have been blessed by someone's generosity. I encourage you to spread generosity to others, and remember this act of kindness will sometimes be it's own reward.
So good! Love the way you say sometimes giving is the gift 💓
