Each morning we get dressed according to what we will be doing and where we will be going. While some of you put your jogging clothes on others are dressing themselves for work, There are also some of us who stay in there pajamas or maybe just dress casual for the day.
There are also those special occasions like dinner at a fine restaurant, company parties, the opera or a symphony, church, and weddings. These are all places you want to look your very best.
Everyday we should want to look our best. I am going to share with you how I am learning to do that myself. This is how God wants us to dress so we will be ready for any occasion.
Proverbs 31:25a (ESV) Strength and dignity are her clothing.
Isaiah 11:5 (NLT) He will wear righteousness like a belt and truth like
an undergarment.
Psalm 30:11 (NKJV) After mourning we are clothed with gladness.
Isaiah 61:10 (NKJV) He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness.
Galatians 3:27 (NLT) And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.
Colossians 3:12,14 (NLT) Since God chose you to be the holy people He loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy ,kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which holds us all together in perfect harmony.
Ephesians 6:14-17 Put on the armor of God. The belt of truth, the breastplate of God's righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God.
Now you are not only looking sharp for the day , but you are prepared for all that awaits you.
