Call Out to God

I am breaking one of the worst habits during this season. I thought laying the cigarettes down was the hardest thing I would have to do. Don't get me wrong it was a challenge, but I was ready. Just as with any changes we want in our life the key is we have to be ready. We have to want this change more than anything even if it costs us something and more than likely it will.

I had this habit of holding everything in and bottling it up. As a matter of fact I spent most of life doing this and building walls. Sometimes I think I should have been a brick layer because I was just that good. Does this sound familiar? Let me tell you when we spend time shutting everyone out we are actually shutting ourselves in! This is why we end up feeling so isolated and shut off from the world. My dear friends it is time to take the responsibility and say we did this to ourselves. No one else is to blame. You might be tempted to say, but you don't know what they did to me and you would be right. I know I used to say this all the time. The fact still remains no matter what has been done to you when you call out to God He will help you overcome it.

We all have a past and many of us have been broken to the point we think we can never be put back together. With this being said I am in no way trying to undermine what you are going through or have gone through. Believe me I have had more than my share of pain. I also know what it is like to let that go and make way for the future. You see this why we need to call out to God. We need His help to deal with the past properly so we can clear out all the clutter that we have built up.

Think of it this way. When you move from one house to another you realize all the stuff you have accumulated and end up getting rid of all the old unnecessary things that have become nothing but clutter. The same thing happens when we begin to clean out our hearts. We have allowed so much clutter from the past to pile up we don't have room for anything else at least not yet. As we begin to dwindle through this clutter and clear it out little by little we can gradually fill this empty space with everything new.

If and when you are ready call out to God and let Him know you are ready and willing to make a change in your life. This is going to take awhile to work through and it's not always going to be easy. I can tell you when you call on God daily He will help you in ways no one else can. Once you start seeing the changes it will all be worth it. I can say this because I am speaking from experience.
