A Glorious Transformed Body

The pain is real when we are left to deal with life without our loved ones. This is an inevitable bridge we will all cross, but one day we will be reunited again.

1 Corinthians 15:36 says: When you put a seed into the ground, it doesn't grow into a plant unless it dies first. Then God gives it the new body he wants it to have (vs.38). Before you know it the seed taking on a new form (looking nothing like it did before) rises from the ground into a beautiful plant. What was once lifeless is now full of growth and life.

It is the same when we die and our earthly bodies are buried in the ground. Our corpse will rot and our bones will decay, but the body that is buried (planted) will rise up. Just as the seed; we will receive the body God wants us to have. We will rise to live forever. We will rise up transformed into a glorious, strong, and powerful new body. While we are here on earth we need earthly bodies, and when we ascend (rise) into heaven we will need heavenly spiritual bodies.

These new bodies will never die and the beauty that awaits us will be far greater than we could ever imagine. The light we give off as Christians here on earth is nothing compared to the light we will become. Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever. Daniel 12:3

The Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God - 1Thessalonians 5:16. It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye when the last trumpet is blown - 1 Corinthians 15:52. First the Christians who have died will rise from the graves. Then those of us who are living will also be transformed caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever in heaven reunited with all of our loved ones who have gone before us. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that who ever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
