Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. 1 Corinthians 13:7
What a person desires is unfailing love. This type of loyalty is hard to find among our family and friends. We receive love, support, and care from them, but even as much as they try the loyalty we are looking for isn't always there. The one place we can find it is when we look to God. He is the only one capable of loving us with an unfailing love. I believe we all have good intentions when we tell a loved one we will always be there for them. The fact is most of the time we only tend to another's need when it is convenient. There may be other times when we realize our love for someone has slowly faded away over time. Then there are the times we want to pick and choose who we want to love especially when it comes to ministry. We want to love the people who easily accept love rather than the unlovable. Even if you think you love others well I imagine there is always room to grow and love even deeper. ( This is what I tell myself all the time even when I feel like I love others well).
God is love and His love never fails! We can always put our hope in God who is always working on our behalf. He is trustworthy and keeps all of His promises. When He says I will be there for you He already is. Maybe you are going through a storm and if so, you must know that God is going to shelter you and keep you safe. God will provide and meet all of your needs. God never picks and chooses who He will help because He helps everyone. How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings. Psalm 36:7
Unfailing love is God's commitment of loyalty to us. His love is sacrificial and the deepest of any love we will ever experience. His love never fails. God loved us first before we were born and this love continues into eternity. God's love is everlasting meaning there are no boundaries where His love won't reach. It is limitless. Your unfailing love, O Lord is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Psalm 36:5
God loves us just the way we are. He doesn't expect us to be perfect. He knows we will slip and is ready to catch us before we fall. God is always supporting us by acting (working) on our behalf. His hand is stretched out to lend us a helping hand anytime we need it. When I said, "My foot is slipping," your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. Psalm 31:6 (NIV)
There are times when God might ask us to do something and instead we run (like Jonah did) in the other direction. There are times when we are rebellious. Yet, God always shows us His unfailing love. The Lord God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him - Daniel 9:9
The fact is God's unfailing love surrounds His people at all times and is with us wherever we go. This is what true love really is and it endures forever. Nothing or no one can ever separate us from God's unfailing love. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither demons nor life neither angels or demons, neither our fears for today or our worries about tomorrow - not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below - indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
