The desert wasteland is a place where everything is devastating. Physically we are drained, emotionally we are unstable, and spiritually we are dead. I lived in the desert wasteland for many years due to (drugs and alcohol) living in my sin. I did this for many years and in any living condition we learn to adapt to it. I did just that and became comfortable with my life. When we become comfortable with our life it becomes stagnant and we don't even realize it. Being stagnant is lifeless; living without moving. I chose to live life my way; without God. I often wondered why I lived this way but did nothing to change it.
Eventually I got tired of doing the same thing day in and day out and realized it was time for me to move out of the wasteland knowing if I stayed there I would die. If you are in a place such as this I want to reassure there is a way out. Turn to Jesus and ask Him to make a way out for you. Jesus is the One who will change everything in your favor. He will tell His Father interceding for us and together they will make it happen. He will bring new people into your life to make the transition easier.
The land of milk and honey is a place filled with prosperity and abundance. Now doesn't sound like a wonderful place to move to? Of course! While residing there we will receive everything we need and more. It is a place we can live in peace and filled with joy. We will become a part of a new family. One that excepts us for who we are and shows us love that we have never received before. God will show you so much more than you ever imagined!
God has a special place for all His people in the land flowing with milk and honey. He has been waiting for you to ask for it. Will you ask for it? Will you seek to find it? Regardless of how many times you will need to do this. Will you keep on knocking until the door will be opened?
Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking and you will find. Keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8
