Ultimately love comes from God because God is love. He loved us before the foundation of the world was created.
When God created the world He did it for us. Since our Creator loved us so much He made sure we would have a place here on earth to reside temporarily. It is in the perfect position from the sun. By everything in creation we have all that we need. When you think about His perfect plan and meeting all of our needs that alone should make you feel loved. He also created the heavens so we would have a place to spend eternity with Him.
When you think about love what is your definition? I believe love is an action and this is exactly what God did to show us His love. It took action to create the world and everything in it as proof of His love. To make sure we always have the Word of God the Bible was written from the very heart of God. It is alive and active and filled with the very breath of God. It is not an ordinary book, but the only book written as a love story with the very words of God to each and every one of us.
God loves with the greatest love and the proof is He sent His one and only Son to die for us so we shall live. Jesus paid the ultimate price for us and there is no other expression of love greater than that to lay down a life for a friend. We are God's children and Jesus' friends. I don't want to leave out the Holy Spirit as people often do. The Holy Spirit empowers us to love like God does. The Trinity is always in constant communication with each other on our behalf. We can experience the love of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit by being in their presence.
God commands us to love others. If we want to show love to others we must first receive the love of God. The more we learn about the way God loves and His character we learn what real love is. We desire to love the way God loves and this is what will change the world. God loves all the outcast and sinners. Shouldn't we want to love in this same manner? We can only love others because You loved us first! It is because of Your love working through us that we can love others. In our own strength we choose those who are easy to love. Because of Your love we can love all the others.
